FireFly Handmade!

Filed under: Uncategorized — Natha @ 5:10 pm

We just got one of my favorite write ups ever from the ultra-cool women at Firefly Handmade.  Thanks you Ladies!!  We are so excited to be part of this fabulously fun holiday market this coming weekend in Boulder.  FireFly Handmade is a juried craft show and the event is a first time offering from Firefly Handmade, an artists’ collective based out of Lyons and supporting artists throughout Boulder County. The Firefly Handmade 2010 Holiday Market will be held Dec. 10-12 at 1904 Pearl St. in Boulder and will feature sandwiches and snacks from The Dish, kids’ activities sponsored by Clementine Studios and “eco” gift wrapping from Lysiwraps. And if all that isn’t enough to entice you, it will be a zero-waste event as well.  Take a look at FireFly Handmade blog and check out the write ups of the featured designers- there really will be some amazing art at this show.

There will be 70+ vendors including us (and we ALWAYS bring fresh designs not to be found online to sell at shows) and coincidentally, some of my favorite women in my life who are also handcraft stars and local small business owners  (see their work below).

Elevated Scraps, a brand new Denver based company created by the extremely visionary and driven Heather Smith Phifer,   specializes in infant to teen room decor and more.  Heather’s stunning bird mobiles have been selling out at craft fairs all over Denver!  Read more about Elevated Scraps here.

And I have to mention Hot Mama Jewelry Designs!  Shannon Sunderland (co-owner) and I went to art school together and have watched each others businesses flourish ever since.  Check out their new line of Nest Necklaces I’ve seen them in person and they’re beautiful!  Read more about the lovelies who run the show over at Hot Mama here.

I just realized upon proofreading this entry that we have a totally unplanned bird theme going on–  I love it!    Birds ARE the new black after all…
